Effective Date: July 15, 2026
These SMS Terms of Service govern the text-message voting program (“Program”) operated by EDGE Business District Association (“we,” “us,” or “our”) for the Booker Creek Arts Festival in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Program Description
The Booker Creek Arts Festival SMS Voting Program allows festival attendees to vote for their favorite artists in the People’s Choice Award. Attendees first register by completing a short registration form, reached by scanning a QR code on official signage at the festival entrance. Registered attendees then vote by texting an artist’s unique voting code (for example, 1023) displayed at the artist’s exhibit to the official festival voting phone number.
Each submitted voting code represents one vote for one artist. After receiving your message, our system automatically validates the submission and sends a single transactional response confirming your vote or explaining why it could not be processed, such as an invalid code, duplicate vote, unregistered number, voting being closed, or a processing error. No promotional or marketing messages are sent through this Program.
How SMS Voting Works
Participating in the SMS Voting Program is simple:
- Visit the Booker Creek Arts Festival.
- Scan the QR code on the registration signage at the festival entrance and complete the registration form with your first name, last name, and mobile phone number.
- Locate an artist’s displayed voting code.
- Text that code to the official festival voting phone number.
- Receive one transactional SMS confirming your vote or explaining why it could not be processed.
Only one vote per artist is permitted.
Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for assistance or STOP to opt out.
Consent to Receive Messages
By voluntarily submitting the registration form with your mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive SMS messages related solely to People’s Choice Award voting. Each vote you then submit by texting an artist’s voting code to the official Booker Creek Arts Festival voting phone number is a request for a single transactional response about that vote.
Messages may include:
- A one-time registration confirmation message
- Vote confirmation messages
- Duplicate vote notifications
- Invalid voting code notifications
- Voting closed notifications
- Processing error notifications
- Replies to HELP requests
- Responses to STOP or other opt-out requests
Submitting a vote does not enroll you in recurring messaging or marketing communications. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Consent is not transferred or shared with any third party.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your participation. In most cases, you will receive a one-time registration confirmation and one SMS response for each vote you submit, plus any responses generated by HELP or STOP requests. This Program does not send recurring promotional or marketing messages.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data charges apply to every message you send or receive. We do not charge a fee to participate in the Program. Please check with your carrier for details about your messaging plan.
